"Together with the installer, we ensure that our climate screens perform optimally for the grower." With this statement, Mark van Dijk captures the essence of the collaboration between Ludvig Svensson and ALWECO. Mark is the account manager for the Netherlands and Southern Europe at Svensson.
Svensson sells its climate screens through installers and greenhouse builders, and they also provide advice to growers to help them achieve the optimal climate in their greenhouses using these screens. We spoke with Mark for this edition of A Case of ALWECO.
Strengthening each other
Ludvig Svensson has had its own branch in the Netherlands for forty years now. "From the beginning, we've been working with Leo Alsemgeest and ALWECO," says Mark. "We've completed many projects together. This extends internationally as well, because ALWECO has an enormous network abroad too. We strengthen each other because we have direct contact, and that always works well."
True specialists
"We always seek out collaboration," Mark explains. "It's necessary because our screens require proper installation for the best results. For example, when we introduce a new innovation, we provide installers with advance information. They then need to consider possible adjustments in the installation.
In that regard, working with ALWECO is fantastic; they are true specialists. They always handle these matters effectively."
Calling it like it is
"Look, in this industry, it's important to call it like it is, so you know what to expect from each other. ALWECO operates with this mindset as well. This means you can work together and get things done. Recently, we installed the new PARperfect screen solution at Teun Valstar's operation.
We went from consultation to installation in a relatively short period, which was only possible because of ALWECO's enthusiasm and quick response. Working together to ensure customer satisfaction—that's what I find rewarding."
